The Neumann TLM 103, is wonderful on instruments as well as human voice. Along with the slight presence lift the mic is modeled after the company’s legendary U87. When I audition for voice roles it’s my current go-to mic.

Here is the AT4033. a mic with a positive reputation for clean neutral sound in a reliable design. I made some pretty famous audio on this very mic. for James Farr's animated web series Xombie. in which I played the male lead. 

When you want to isolate the subject's sound from the rest of the noise use a shotgun mic.  WHY AM I SHOUTING?! Because it's a shotgun mic!

This is my Røde NTK. it offers a warm yet presence boosted sound with a little bit of colouration courtesy of that tube technology.
